Life Teen. Who are we?

Life Teen is an international Catholic movement that serves the Church by providing resources and training that encourages teens to grow in meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ and the Eucharist. This is accomplished through a vibrant Eucharistic spirituality and by creating widespread opportunities for teens to grow in their faith.

Our primary ministry is support and training for parishes seeking to implement the Life Teen model of Catholic youth ministry. The Life Teen model is a comprehensive model of youth ministry that helps parishes implement “Renewing the Vision.” Through direct support, resources, training, and events we seek to equip parishes to reach and form the young Church. The Life Teen model of Catholic youth ministry is currently used in over 1000 parishes in 22 countries.

Life Teen in a parish

Through youth friendly Liturgies, Life Nights, weekly activities, service opportunities, teen leadership and outreach activities, teens learn more about their Catholic faith and grow to love the Sacraments, the Word, and the Mass. At a parish with the Life Teen ministry, a priest, youth minister, music ministry and a Core team of volunteer’s build an environment where teens feel loved, accepted, and challenged to go deeper in their faith.

2. 4-Year Catechetical curriculum
   Using the USCCB’s Curriculum Framework for the Development of Catechetical Materials as our basis, Life Teen has developed a systematic, 4-year curriculum of Life nights to help ensure that our parishes provide teens with quality faith formation. Learn More

3. Life Support Resources
   Three times a year, parishes receive Life Support right to the steps of the Church. Life Support is loaded with fun and exciting resources to keep parishes centered on Christ and alive in Spirit. Learn More
   

4. Area Contacts
   Life Teen has a support structure of a national director, an international director/start-up coordinator, and a priest liaison. In addition, we have Area Contacts that act as a local Life Teen representative for the surrounding parishes. Meet the Area Contacts

5. 2:42 Gatherings
   Area Contacts are responsible for scheduling and leading a few prayer gatherings a year, called 2:42 Gatherings, which act as a time for prayer and community building for youth ministers.

6. Training Opportunities
   Life Teen desires to serve the greater church by offering trainings for priests, youth ministers, Core members, and musicians through a wide-variety of training conferences. Learn More

7. Teen Events
   Summer Camps
   Each summer Life Teen hosts Catholic summer camp experiences for high school and middle school youth at Covecrest in Tiger, GA, Tepeyac in Prescott, AZ and Rockyvine in Dutzow, MO.
   
   Notre Dame Leadership Conference
   Life Teen Notre Dame is a life-changing week for incoming high school juniors and seniors. Teens learn their unique role in the future of the Church, as a servant – just as Jesus led. Intense prayer and inspired Catholic teaching are staples of this conference, as teens join together as a passionate Catholic community. Youth ministers nominate qualified teens with strong leadership potential.

   Edge is our ministry specifically for middle school youth. We provide both resources and training to make your middle school ministry relevant and engaging. Learn More
