Pflugerville, part of the Diocese of Austin, sits in the heart of one of the fastest growing areas in the U.S. and is one of the most diverse communities in central Texas with ethnicities that include Anglo and Hispanic as well as Asian, African, and Indian.
- The CYM will develop and lead our High School and Jr. High School Youth Ministry programs as well as our 9th Grade Confirmation Program using as a guide the USCCB document Renewing the Vision
- The CYM must be strong in team building, organization, theology, catechesis, and liturgy. It would be ideal that the CYM be bi-lingual in English & Spanish.

This person will coordinate the Middle School and High School youth of the parish. The CYM will be responsible for working closely with adults and youth in forming leadership core teams and developing a holistic youth program based upon the eight components stated in USCCB’s document Renewing the Vision-A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry. The CYM is a member of the parish staff and serves the parish part time.
Applicants must be a practicing Roman Catholic, in good standing and active in the church. Applicants should have a college degree or life experiences that provide a background in religious studies and an ability to work with youth. Applicants need a commitment to ongoing formation, spiritual growth, a holistic vision of ministry, and a deep appreciation of the Eucharistic community of which youth are integral members.
